Hagerstown Fourth Graders Visit the State House

Students get the vip treatment From gov. Moore

Checkmate! Washington County fourth-grade teacher Robby Burton (far right) and his chess-playing class from Eastern Elementary School visited Gov. Moore at the State House on June 5. Gov. Moore, an avid chess player himself, saw the class chess supplies during a Read Across America event and invited the students to visit him to see his family’s chess board and get a private tour of his office.
